The story of Seiko began in 1881, when the 22-year-old Kintaro Hattori opened a shop selling and repairing watches and clocks in Tokyo. In 1924, they created the first SEIKO watch, while in 1969 they introduced SEIKO ASTRON to the world, the very first quartz watch. In the past 140 years, SEIKO has contributed to society with one revolutionary product after another non-stop.
Inspired by the classics, JOURNAL STANDARD and SEIKO teamed up for a watch collaboration with the design from the creative director of LOWERCASE. The screen protector design from SEIKO and the military elements from JOURNAL STANDARD are mixed into the Field Watch to create an urban style that is not only unisex and age neutral but fits into everyone’s daily life.
